The story of the assassination is all over town by morning, with details ranging from worryingly accurate to totally fantastical. It was the Right Hand of Vandrak, many say, probably inspired by the graffiti on many, many walls. Somebody had been busy last night. In blood-red red letters, all over the top end of the city, are the words:
"Tanala was First. Who will be Next? The Right Hand of Vandrak!"
The city guard are out in force. Anyone in the area who looks insufficiently busy finds themselves pressganged into work gangs, tasked with removing the graffiti. Some try to scrub the red paint off walls, with mixed success. Others are simply painting out the graffiti in whatever paint is available, even if it completely clashes with whatever paint the wall was originally painted in. There are very few people in the Dragon; nobody is going to be lounging around drinking, and the Guard have even 'borrowed' some of the staff.
Opinions are divided as to whether or not the enigmatic Right Hand of Vandrak are really behind the death, or are merely trying to exploit it. One rumour Rotemdol hears says from one of the few street traders not shanghaied into graffiti removal says that Tanala and Kluranyr had killed each other in a bizarre suicide pact.
