There isn't much left of the crashed vehicle. It's come down in a dense patch of woodland and appears to have largely disintegrated on impact. A large piece of what was probably one of the wings is wedged in the upper branches of a tree, while the surrounding area is covered with bits of shredded metal. Many parts are warm to the touch, and there are several small fires. Fortunately the woodland isn't dry enough for a major conflagration to catch hold.

A sizable crater reveals a large blackened metal object with curious pipes emerging from it; the surrounding trees are burned here, suggesting this might have been the craft's engine. Whatever it is, it still gives off a lot of heat, and is too hot to touch.

Just a little further on is a large cylindrical section, the largest surviving fragment. It's twisted and bent, but it appears to be the front part of the fuselage. Inside are the bodies of the two crew, one kandar, the other looking vaguely human.

Both are dead, killed in the impact.

Dharak touches the cylindrical part, and the bodies, to see what his psychic senses tell him. A very recent sensation of terror, probably caused by the craft plunging towards the ground obliterates almost everything else. However, beneath it there's a vaguely alien, twisting sensation, and a feeling of a vortex in space and time. However, this sensation fades as soon as he tries to concentrate upon it; the recent terror of the death-plunge drowns it out.

Then he also looks for any easily portable weapons, equipment, or further proof of the identity of these adversaries. He finds a couple of hand weapons, smaller versions of the energy weapon captured from the Quaan earlier. The control panel of the craft is labelled in two languages, Konaic, and a language written in a script Dharak does not recognise at all, and he recognises the scripts used in all common Kandar, Human and Zughru languages.

Reylorna moves from piece to piece examining as best she can the wreckage. As she moves the intense look on her face shows a more furrowed brow. Finally standing near the crew section she offers "well I had hoped to find something that was useful, but I am not an expert in how to salvage anything. Other than having a dead body I don't think we have anything that we can really take with us."

She shakes her head and defers to Duplar on the actual items that might be salvageable, if any.

"Apart from the weapons Dharak has found, everything is too big and too heavy to carry", Duplar replies, "I shall recommend a team be sent out here upon our return, with recording equipment and pack animals".

"I guess we have delayed long enough", says Reylorna, "It will take us sometime to return with our current wounded. So once we are sure we have gotten what we can, I suggest we make what time we can. Now, the only thing we can do is carry our information back to our leaders".

"Aye", says the wounded Kylar, "We're wasting time. There could be others on our trail".
