EU elections are on a party list basis. The electorate only vote for a party not the individuals on their list.
I like STV. Last election for the General Synod I had to pick from 1 to 10 from a very long list of candidates. It took days to prayerfully read their election statements! But that is the best way to do these things.
If you are not willing to think about (I cannot insist on the praying bit) who you vote for, you do not deserve to have that vote.
