My brother has a theory about why some Neighbours’ plotlines were so ludicrous. There were two teams of scriptwriters, both of whom may have secretly loathed the show, responsible for alternate weeks. Both teams would try to set each other up with a “Now get out of that” at the end of Friday’s episode.
