“Could” and “must”. Two different words.

Nobody is going to win any arguments by citing “continuity”. This is Dr Who, after all…

But I’ve seen a good argument from a feminist blogger (can’t find the link now) suggesting the The Doctor is too good a male role model to lose.

I wouldn't say the next Dr. Who should be a woman necessarily. But I'd say you are a sexist if you think no Dr. Who should be a woman.

I’d love to see a female Dr. Who. That doesn’t mean I think everyone else who doesn’t is a sexist pig.
