The layout is a “might have been” based on Penzance as it was before it was rebuilt and much enlarged in the 1930s, but operated with 1960s motive power.
A fantastic layout. Saw it at St Albans couple of years back — while operations are definitely on the leisurely side, there’s so much atmosphere here that it’s a layout you can watch for a while without getting bored.
The fact that you can watch a 20-minute video without getting bored says a lot.
