I don't understand the mentality of people that pay a fortune for tickets and then get pissed, especially on the overpriced crap beer at venues like that.

I thought Genesis would succeed at putting on a spectacular show, but for me I still don't think it could quite have topped being in the front row for Mostly Autumn last weekend.

And Stabcon was great fun, as it always is.

Just back from seeing Genesis - WOW...one of the best gigs I have ever been to. In recent years I have enjoyed the smaller venues where you actually do feel part of the band etc. but yesterday, Genesis just blew me away (and there were enough old numbers to make it a truly unforgettable night)...ALTHOUGH......why at these big gigs do you get hundreds of people who go just to get pissed and annoy every one else...if they need to drink so much why dont they just stay at home and wait for the DVD!!!! (rant over)

They've been playing a few Hackett-era songs, but I'm not really interesting in sitting through an hour and a half of their empty corporate-rock era stuff just for half an hour's worth of good stuff. I was never interested in seeing them live in the 80s, so I'm not too bothered about missing them now.

There are plenty of great smaller bands for whom my buying tickets helps to contribute towards their economic viability; I'll support those bands instead.

I heard that Genesis played Ripple in their final rehearsal in front of fan club members.

Ditto The Carpet Crawlers. While interesting to me, I just couldn't bear to hear Invisible Suck again...
