Busy weekend coming up. Tomorrow night I’m seeing the wonderful Hayseed Dixie for the second time this year, followed on Saturday by the Alsager Railway Association exhibition in Crewe. If you’re attending either event, see you there!
Funny how gigs and model railway exhibitions seem to pair up in the second half of the year. I’ve already had the Manchester show and Porcupine Tree on the same date, followed by Mostly Autumn in Bury the night before the Blackburn show. And next time I’m seeing Mostly Autumn, it’s the Friday before Warley.
Have fun!
We have a special Railroad Earth show next Friday — limited tickets at a Chapel. The band will be playing unplugged (I know, an acoustic band, unplugged? No amps and toys for them, just playing into microphones). This is their new Thanksgiving tradition, second year in a row.
Then we see them the next night opening for Hot Tuna at the Beacon Theater in NYC (one of my favorite venues in the world, about to be taken over by Madison Square Garden, which will destroy it).
Not to mention four consecutive shows at the end of the year for New Years Eve.
We ARE seeing Evil Dead, the Musical, in a couple of weeks…
