I can’t wait to see them live next month! I like how different this album is compared to their others. Also, I just came across a cover of “Supermassive Black Hole” done by 2 guys under the name 2 Cello, and I was blow away at how they nailed it (considering they play cellos). Couldn’t agree more with the majority of this. I find it laughable that the general public seem to have been up in arms about Muse’s assimilation of a few ideas from the worlds of dubstep, psytrance and glitch (the world’s oddest solicitors, maybe?), yet those of us with a proggy disposition just sit back, applaud their audacity and see if it works. And, to my mind, it works handsomely. Never my favourite band in the past, I thoroughly look forward to seeing them, having been convincingly sucked into their world this time round.
One thing though, to compare Muse’s experimentation to Panic Room? Really? I can only assume that I received the wrong CD in the Panic Room case.

I’ve been considering going to see them when they come to town.
(Speaking of Oasis, saw Noel Gallagher’s High-Flying Birds on Thursday. Basically seemed like Oasis with a slightly different singer. The new songs really sound a lot like something they might have progressed to.)
