Unfortunately, I think High Voltage is unlikely to ever return. It hasn’t taken place for the last two years as it was ‘cancelled’ in 2012 due to the Olympics. HRH Prog did indeed divide opinions, including mine and I was there! Yes it was freezing but all the bands I saw, to their credit, gave great shows. I think Chic Festivals quickly acknowledged that the risk taken on the venue hadn’t paid off and I’m sure you’ll enjoy your trip to Wales. I’ve got great sympathy with the organisers of the Cambridge Rock Festival. Whereas I thought the 2012 bill was stronger, plenty of people that I spoke to in 2013 were pleased with a return to a more traditional rock/blues orientated line up. I’m not sure they can get a balance that’s going to suit us all I’m afraid.
