Great news about the DVD coming later in the year. I've not yet had the opportunity to get to one of the HFB shows. The south east dates tend to be central London which is a bit of a travelling nightmare and CRF on the wrong day. But I've really enjoyed what I've seen on You Tube, especially the rocked up version of Magpie.

At this point in Heather's new solo career, I'd be pleased to see lots of her own MA/OD songs recorded in full band format as the re-workings have a completely different groove. It may not be a bad idea to get them banged down on CD or DVD before she moves on and more new material gets introduced.

I get the impression that Heather is still in the experimental stage of her solo career. While the Phoenix Suite EP was not entirely to own personal tastes, it did have its moments. However, the acoustic re-workings of those songs were real class. Cafe 68 was a superb album, although Dear Someone is a bit too old time for me and seemed a little out of place. Songs From The Old Kitchen is, for me, the best of the two as its so innovative and different. Flowers For Guns, for example.

I would also agree that if there's to be just one UK gig this year, it should in decent sized venue where people won't be disappointed that they can't get a ticket. In the meantime, the DVD is sure to keep the fans satisfied while Heather continues to work on the new album.

I was one of the lucky 30 at the Cafe 68 evening but I agree with you Tim that a one off gig in the UK in 2013 needs to be at a good size venue. The Robin 2 would do nicely Heather please.
