I have fond memories of The Limelight, even though it went downhill towards the end. Like The Point in Cardiff, it’s gone now.

I certainly hope we haven’t heard the last of Rachel’s vocals. I’d love to hear her do something like a stripped-down acoustic project: The Reasoning’s “Acoustically Driven” really showcased her voice, and she had a lot more space wihout having to avoid being swamped by the instrumentation.

As you mention the early days at the Limelight were the best.

As I’ve always said, see these bands live while you can. When most of the bands aren’t full-time and juggling commitments to day jobs, families and other bands, it’s amazing some of them manage to stick together for as long as they do.

I have been struck by the ephemeral nature of prog rock in the UK. The Reasoning have announced their dissolution; Crimson Sky disbanded recently; and Stolen Earth has reincarnated as Cloud Atlas. Times are changing and the transient nature of the genre precludes much stability. Sic transit gloria mundi.
