I’m very impressed. Is this typical of their sound? The string players are actually part of the band, not just guests on this one track?
It’s a nine-piece band, with three violins, cello and contrabass along with guitar, bass and drums (they don’t have a keyboard player). As for the rest of their material, I don’t know, this track is all that I’ve heard.
Be interesting to know what the song is about; I’m guessing it’s the Winter War in 1940.
Very modern weapons and gear for a 1940 war.
I agree the string section is good and well used, but I didn’t really care for the rest of the sound. Very thin.
You’re right, watching it again those soldiers look too modern for World War II. Also notice that you never see whatever enemy they’re fighting.
