I went to see Chantel in Whitstable on Friday night. Chantel, playing her strat for most of the set, played songs from her new album which she is currently recording. The set was all originals. No covers at all. Most of the new album got played along with original songs from her first album. The new songs may well change on stage as Chantel is always up for some experimenting and trying something a bit different.

The new album is much more of a hard rock album than the diversity of her first album. And there's some solo and acoustic songs which she played in her mid-set solo section. Its an album of all original songs, no covers. Oh, and there's a prog epic on there as well (Walk On Land) which could well become the new Daydream. Have to admit, it was my favourite song of the gig.

Another great Chantel gig, and I'd expect a similar kind of set list for the rest of the tour.
