I know MA have played the odd gig without Livvy, although she's been at every one I've attended since she joined the band. Actually it's looking as though Iain is helping out for this tour, and probably isn't rejoining the band on a full-time basis; and Breathing Space will remain his 'main' band.

I wasn't at Bilston, but I was at Cardiff two days earlier, where all the band except for Mark Rowan, who had to leave earl, came out and said hello. I'm still amazed by the way band members greet me by name at gigs! They had Livvy running the merch stand that night.

When I saw them supporting The Reasoning at Bilston one thing that struck me was that although the first album was a solo CD by Iain, the band Breathing Space feels more like a coherent unit that features Livvy as front woman. It was interesting that she was the only one who came out to sign stuff after their set.

Given that Livvy seems a fixture in MA having Iain back may not cause any double booking problems that the band wouldn't have had anyway.
