“Christine Savage” – Your account is so vastly at odds with every other account I’ve read that I’m afraid I do not trust your version of events – I have spoken to people who have had dealings with this promoter who wouldn’t put it past him to have sock puppets posting lies on blogs. Is “Christine Savage” your real name, or is it “Bob”? Just wondering….

I went to see them at Harlech in Wales & couldn’t hear them play! The overall sound was diabolical as was the strained singing. Was expecting a lot for the high ticket price.

Very disappointed as I travelled miles to get there!

I had the pleasure of seeing the The Bad Shepherds at The Brook last week and if they were “under-rehearsed” they bluffed it very well. An excellent night in front of a good size crowd.

I heard the same story as the man above.
I work and travel abroad (for a well known airline) and heard that the band were no-where near ready for a UK tour. There were many of us there where they were recently and we followed them to a local gig. I got autographs from all of the members.
They put the blame on the promoter saying that he walked and unfortunately that was not the case. Incredibly unprofessional of some of the band to be blaming others when they themselves were purely at fault for the shambles that it was live.

The promoter put so much promotion and money into the whole project and it’s about time some-one set the record straight. No one was buying any tickets in the Uk and I don’t blame them!

Let’s hope we see Mostly Autumn more live on their own as they are extremely talented at what they do. Professional and entertaining.

I’m going on the official announcements from both Ade Edmondson and Maartin Allcock, and comments from a member of Mostly Autumn (who it’s better not to name), which are all tell a pretty consistent story.

I’ve heard it was actually the unprofessional actions of their frontman that led to the promoter pulling out!? That and the fact that the whole thing was very much under-rehearsed. There’s usually two sides to every story. Maybe said promoter should step forward and defend his side?
