I saw the same pairing at Bristol a couple of weeks later, with Winter in Eden on first, and Crimson Sky nominal headliners.

I think co-headliners make a lot of sense even when the bands do have the material for a longer set, provided the bands complement each other well. Gives better value for money that the typical headliner + forgettable support, and tends to attract bigger crowds too, as both bands bring their supporters out.

Saw Crimson Sky for the first (and so far only time) in Birmingham last year supporting Winter in Eden. I would have liked a longer set but as you point out, they don't have enough material at the moment to be on stage for more than about an hour so they will probably continue to do double-headers for the time being. I am really hoping to catch them again this year.
