Can i just say , as a massive fan of Alice Cooper, Blue Oyster Cult and of course Blue Coupe that absolutely none of Status Quos other songs sound anything like Road house Blues which is after all a Doors song!

That’s the band. “Pictures of Matchstick Men” was very early in their career. They went on to have a string of UK hits all of which sounded like variations on Roadhouse Blues.

Status Quo the “Pictures of Matchstick Men” guys? I first heard that song as a cover (but I didn’t know it was a cover) by a punk band from Ontario called the Forgotten Rebels.

I don’t really follow BÃ–C, I just know the singles.

Arguably Status Quo’s entire career was a cover of that song…

I did not know BÃ–C covered “Roadhouse Blues” — after a brief YouTube, I think I like their cover version better.
