And I don’t think Rush played Cardiff at all; the tour seemed to be very skewed towards the north of England; Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield!

I think Exeter is probably too far west to get back from Manchester or Leeds in a half-day on Monday morning (which is what I’ve done getting back from Sunday night gigs in London or York).

Possibly Cardiff – if you count that as the South West. :-\

My brother & I talked about doing Manchester (he lives in Leeds which would have got me passably close!) but lack of holiday dates counted against it.

Make that ‘the only two British hit singles, then

I know a lot of people that saw multiple dates on their British tour. Not that Britain is big enough a journey the length of a drive from Vancouver to San Fransisco.

They had more hit singles than that in Canada. “New World Man” got a lot of airplay, probably some other ones I don’t remember. A friend of mine is a huge Rush fanatic — he even moved to Toronto. (But he only saw them twice this tour…he’s done stuff like drive from Vancouver to San Francisco to see them.)

Can only agree…fantastic…shame about soem of the sound in the firsthalf but they seem to get that sorted by the second half.
