I wasn't at HV, but its good to hear that Caravan were on such good form. I've not yet seen them live, but I've got most of their albums and am looking forward to seeing them at CRF on Sunday. Nine Feet Underground is probably their best song, but I guess it must have taken up nearly half of the set. I don't mind that at all.

And I've read a number of great reports about Mostly Autumn's performance at HV. I saw a great performance at The Brook recently (and many more before that). Hope they open up with Distant Train once again on Sunday.

Odd, Spock's Beard were one of the highlights for me - I left determined to get some more of their early albums. But then, unlike you, I was down at the front. One thing I do appreciate with prog bands especially is when the stage layout is such that you can see what the keyboard player is playing - Ryo Okumoto's playing was great to watch, as was Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater. I thought DT's sound wasn't much good though, too much pounding drums and bass muffling the complex stuff going on above it.
