Speaking as a music fan, my favourite gigs often tend to be those in really small venues. I was at one recently, Stage 2 at The Stables which has a capacity of about 80. Acoustic gigs should not be under estimated, but as you say, there's nowhere to hide when the songs are stripped down to just the acoustic guitar and vocal. But its here where you can really appreciate the class and quality of the musician from another angle which can otherwise pass you by. I'm always on the look out for these kind of gigs.
I'd love to see Heather at CRF on Friday, but unfortunately for me, the HFB stands alone as the only band which appeals to me on Friday. I'll wait for the main tour, and have my eye on the gig at The Brook.

An interesting review, Tim. You did well to manage to get a couple of half decent photos in the very low lighting conditions.

There were actually three Mostly Autumn songs played by Heather and Chris, the third being Heather's composition, Yellow Time. Unless of course you're considering that to be an Odin Dragonfly song, although to quote Heather it "has a foot in both camps" (written during the Heart Full Of Sky sessions, first performed live by Odin Dragonfly, first recorded by Mostly Autumn).
