Heavier and darker for starters, although I had an idea what to expect from having heard several songs live – they introduced a couple of songs into their live set more than a year ago.

I never bother to listen to sound clips; they never really give a feel for what the full song sounds like.

Having heard the Myspace sample medley, I’m not sure… I don’t hear anything that grabs me immediately (‘Awakenings’ did), nor any suggestion that they’ve gone further than the debut album – I wouldn’t just want more of the same.

But that’s merely a first impression, and I’m not ruling-out buying the retail edition. Not the pricey limited edition, though.
