What difference a decent lighting rig makes – The photos I’d taken of Touchstone the night before were borderline unusable; this despite having Andy Smith doing the lighting.

Thanks for the review, Tim! It was great to see you at the event. Thanks also to everyone who came down to see us, given the impressive competition, and to our co-performers. I’m glad you enjoyed the show.

I should also just point out that it was Moray MacDonald’s first gig with us on keys, too. What a find he is!

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, Mitchell/Beck opened well. GLD were a revelation, I wasn’t familiar at all with the band, but they’ve gained a new fan. CS really blew me away, I’ve had thevMisunderstood album for a while and put some fair mileage on it. Got to know Martin quite well via facebook, and had a short but very enjoyable drinking session with him and Dawn last December.

In a nutshell, I felt CS were more like a band who had been on the road for a couple of weeks and ironed out any kinks than a band performong their first gig together. They gelled perfectly and delivered the goods in style.

Hope to get to another gig soon, let it Rock!
