i have seen fish 8 times over the years and cant help to be inspired every time, he matures like a fine wine. I cant believe some of the comments i read about so called fish fans complaining about his voice (you know who you are) the guy is ageing with ease perhaps you are ageing to fast. The big man have been in the business for 25 years and deserves all the accolades. Be grateful you were lucky enough to live through the fish era and part of a story that is still continuing. I was at the point in cardiff 23 sept 2007 and his stage presence still made the hair on my neck stand on end , we all know his voice is not the same as in the heyday of marillion, but i still remain a true fan and give credit where credit is due. Long may he cast stones in the pond that cause the ripples that inspire our lives . A quote fish related to me at a chance meeting in a boozer in carisle many years ago.....

Well, just back from the Fish gig At Lochgelly, Fife, Scotland.

Clutching at Stars.

Great mix of new material, old material and lots of tracks from the new album.

Great set as always, Incommunicado went down the best by a long long shot, market square heroes, fantastic, no company tobight which was a bit of a let down, the big guy struggled early on with some of the high notes but seemed to come on song as the night went on!

A Mic change half way through seemed to help, his voice was lost a little amongst the Bass but the new mic seemed to project fish's voice much clearer.

All in all a really good gig, worth going if your a fish fan in the slightest. The older stuff just fantastic, some funny clips on the intro projection screen as well!!

Jo Mccafferty as support was superb as well, just a girl with an accoustic guitar, really sweet voice, powerful when needed but gentle as well, oh and quite a little stunner as well!!! Fish, leave her alone you big stud!!!!

I read up on the reviews here last night. I've just got tickets for the last night here at what must be the least glam venue of the tour - Scunthorpe Baths (yes it exsists and no it's not totally shite). After reading this lot I got the impression that I'll be looked down on. Why? Because I'm going because I want to turn back the clock to be 17 again, before marriage, divorce, becoming a mum and having to settle down into life after crashed dreams. The Misplaced Childhood album has been a shining light to me in those years, it's become music that matters in my life, so OK it's not Donnington, it's not twilight and it will be just the 2nd time I'll have seen him but I'm as excited as hell, and so what if you lot think I'm a saddo, I know that this concert will mean more to me than it has done to most of you. So what if his voice may not be as crisp, we've all changed, isn't that the point? A tour like this says to me "Life's gone on, but hey even the crap bits had some good to them, even if it was only having this album to keep you going!"

any idead WHY marillion and specially Fish do hate Grendel soooo much? is it only because it sounds to genesis for them and reminds them of a copy phase? I would really love to know. Much more than a copy of Genesis I think it is a copy of the band Grey Lay Down- is this the point? Who knows the story?
