I weren’t there in 2009, my first Cambridge Rock Fest was 2010. I bet Stage Two must have been heaving with Larry in there!

I heard via Chantel on Twitter just before I posted this at lunchtime.

It was indeed Karnataka who got pulled due to the PA snafu in 2009. It also affected Larry Miller, who was supposes to play the main stage, but ended up headlining the second stage. Karnataka weren’t able to do that because their gear wouldn’t fit.

I heard the bad news this morning. I was planning to go up just on the Saturday, mainly for Chantel McGregor and would like to have also seen the new Karnataka band. Didn’t they get pulled from the line up a couple of years ago because of sound or timing problems? Or am I getting them mixed up with someone else. If so, they’re not enjoying the best of fortune at Cambridge.

It is difficult timing outdoor festivals outside of the traditional summer months. We had a really hot April & May last year, but I hear the weather’s due to be pretty lousy over the next few weeks. Looking forward to the August fest though.
