Although I wasn't at Cambridge, I have to agree with your comments about Chantel McGregor. The first time I ever saw her (in York's Roman Bath - I know you know it well...) I thought I'd missed the beginning of the set. As I walked in, she was playing a blistering solo which had pretty much the whole pub in awe. At the end of it, over the applause, she announced, "Right, that was the soundcheck. We'll be back in ten minutes." Gobsmackingly brilliant and, hopefully, somebody who has a glittering future ahead of them.

A superb review of the festival, Tim. I was only there for Sunday. Totally agree with you about Panic Room & Breathing Space. I didn't know what to expect from the new Breathing Space line-up, but I was blown away by their powerful performance. And its always such great fun, and great music, when Panic Room are on stage. Great cover of the ELP song too. Mostly Autumn excellent as always.

Wish I could have seen Chantel on Saturday, as you know! From what I have heard, I think I would have enjoyed Larry Miller's set on Saturday as well. I've not heard any of his playing, and will have to check him out. I would also like to have seen Deborah Bonham on Friday.
