Great review Tim ! I was there too and thoroughly enjoyed it. A couple of bands that everyone should keep an ear open for, are Split Whiskers and Dead Like Harry. I thought they were superb and refreshingly original. I was blown away by Asia. They sound better than ever. Truly majestic!! Cheers!

Great review. I was there too. You’re right there were some amazing bands there and the overall atmosphere of the festival was wonderful. Dave, Julia & Mary were lovely and I fully intend to be there again next year.

I’m lead to believe the company hired to provide the PA and crew were the cheapest bidder, and significantly undercut the people who did it far more successfully last year.

I can’t believe the CRF will make the same mistake twice.

Excellent review, Tim! I really enjoyed reading that, thanks for the link! Those PA guys need to get their act together eh? Such a shame that Karnataka didn’t get to play. I reckon they should go and check out Firefest VI this year, they always get the bands to follow on seamlessly!

Well Tim very nice review cheers!!
It sounds as if overall a good time was had by all but that the problems manifesting themselves are growing bigger and more obvious as the festival itself grows and the headlining bands get “Bigger”.
Dave really needs to grasp the nettle on this one and do some damage limitation before complete control is lost and it disolves into some farcicle debacle we have seen elsewhere.
Knowing Dave Roberts as I do I know he will address these probs and come back next year wiser bigger and better!!
