It was a good day, wasn’t it? I think the funniest thing was that two people independently accused me of sounding Scottish. Which is weird, because I’m from Manchester originally. Evidently, like Magnus Magnusson, I’m becoming Scotch by absorption. (MM’s sister used to be the Icelandic consul in Edinburgh, BTW, and used to teach my daughter the piano.)

Bad news about the Leffe glasses in the Kro. Best not to enquire about their Hoegarden then.

Ha ha ha – I’d almost forgotten about the toilets conversation! that was hilarious!

Glad you enjoyed it (cameras aside – though you should be glad I had no functional batteries in mine or else I would have been much MUCH worse than Chern Jie: I am notorious for snapping, mostly informal shots when people aren’t looking!)
