What do you do with Java 1.4 skill nowadays?
Employers want the latest flavours, and know how to get them.
They do not seem to know what to do with them.

I&#039;m curious why a potential employer asked me which of TreeSet and HashSet go ES the better read performance, when I know the big product they are trying to roll out is now 18 months late and slipping rather than closing on its launch date. Relative performance is not a useful question when your code doesn&#039;t do the job at all.

Dilbert remains employed by the Pointy Haired Boss because there is no sensible alternative for either of them.]]></description>
