As you may have noticed, I’ve streamlined the front page of the website making it slightly less cluttered, and faster to lead. It now shows five featured and five recent posts across all categories. What do you think?

Definitely an improvement! I consume the site by way of the RSS feed for the most part but this is a bonus.
One effect it’s had is force me to rethink the criteria for making posts featured. Previously non-music posts stayed on the front page for ages until another post of the same category pushed them out. Now they’ll scroll off the front page in a couple of days unless they’re highlighted as Featured Posts.
