Asia are back with a new album “Gravitas”, with the trio of John Wetton, Carl Palmer and Geoff Downes joined by guitarist Sam Coulson. The single “Valkyrie” suggests that even after more than thirty years they still have something to say.

This is growing on me the more I listen to it… rather looking forward to hearing this album – and maybe catching them live.
I’ve not heard any Asia before though… how does this look to compare with their previous stuff?
I only have a few of their albums, and I’ve not heard anything that quite matches their classic self-titled début. But this song stands up well; they’re still adding to their legacy unlike some bands of their generation.
